One onsite class per academic term – 3 times per calendar year. New student residencies are in the 2nd session each term. All other students attend with their assigned course section on weekends throughout the term. Students are notified roughly 8 weeks prior to each term start.

1st residency includes Thursday afternoon (Students can provide docs to take a leave)

- Academic Transcripts from baccalaureate and graduate degree programs
- Official TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo score (English Test is waived off if you have completed any previous Education in English – in the US or your home country)
- Financial documents, such as a bank statement or two months’ worth of pay stubs (If you have someone else assisting with your education funds, please submit a completed Affidavit of Support and Bank Statement)
- Copies of a valid passport, visa, and I-94 from most recent entry to the US while checking in
- Copies of previously issued I-20s from other U.S. colleges or universities (if applicable)
Internal Transcript Evaluation
IWU completes an initial evaluation for all files. In some cases, they cannot verify the application or GPA using tools available. In these situations, the file will be returned to the enrollment team and the applicant will be requested to secure a 3rd party eval.
IWU will accept AICE and NACES member evaluations

Financial Proof
Proof of Funds (The amount must be at least $30,618 or its equivalent in RMB. The proof of funds can be provided by relatives, friends, or employers. The document must be issued within the past 6 months. If a spouse is applying for an F-2 visa, an additional $4,000 is required. For each child applying for an F-2 visa, an additional $3,000 is required. Note: Paystubs cannot be used as a substitute for proof of funds.)
